As the gateway to the Norwegian Fjords, the Bergen area offers you the ideal combination of nature, culture and interesting city life. You'll find a great variety of things to do, regardless of time of the year.

Walk the Fisherman's Wharf, teeming with people. A visit at The Aquarium is well worth the time. You might as well walk along the protected houses at the dock ("Bryggen") and to the old Bergenhus fortress. "Bryggen" is found on the UNESCO list for World Cultural Heritage sites.

Feel free to visit one of the many museums and galleries in Bergen. From the city streets, you're not far away from Fløyen, Ulriken or another of the seven mountains surrounding the city centre. There you will find panoramic view of the city, the fjord and the ocean. Bergen also offers multiple guided tours, both by foot, bus, sightseeing train, segway or boat.

Bergen is surrounded by one of the world's most popular attractions; the Norwegian fjords! The fjords are also found on the UNESCO list for World Heritage sites, and appointed the world's best untouched travel destination by National Geographic. From Bergen you have the best opportunity to explore the fjords. You'll find lots of organized trips and fjord cruises with shorter and longer durations that will give you memories for life!

Bergen is world famous for its special charm and atmosphere. You just have to experience it! People tell us every year. Visitors from all over the world have only one thing to complain about when they leave; that their stay didn't last longer.
